Thursday 4/26/12 - Kindergarten Field Trip!!

Today, the Kindergarten & 1st grade classes at our school went on a field trip to the World Aquarium inside the City Museum.  I never knew there was an aquarium inside the City Museum!  Brianna and I were both looking forward to going since neither of us have ever been!  We didn't know what kinds of things we'd see while we were there!  I took pictures of our adventure to show you!

The friends that Brianna sat next to on the bus (L to R):  Ashleigh, Breanna & Brianna

My nephew, Adan & his classmate Dalton

The parents that went on the trip had to have a group of 5-6 kids each.  These were the kiddos in my group:  (L to R)  Brianna, Breanna, Adan, Ashleigh & Dalton.  These kids were really good today!

While we were waiting to be assigned into touring groups, I saw this.  It's a HUGE vault!  We didn't get to find out where it leads to.

Our tour guide showing the kids a turtle

Showing us a bird (I forgot what kind it was though)

Our tour guide told us that these turtles were over 110 years old!  He said that a family found them and kept passing them down through their family over the years!

I don't remember what this guy's name was.  He was walking above our heads in a tube!

I don't recall what type of fish these were either, but they were HUGE!!  This picture doesn't do them justice at all!!   I will say that I didn't get to hear too much of what our tour guide was saying through out the whole tour.  Trying to keep track of 5 kids (plus other people's kids in the group) kept me busy and preoccupied!  Not to mention it was difficult to hear the guide talking over all the kids!

These fish were COOL!!  They were Paddle Fish!  They had long beak like noses and swam around with their mouths opened.  I hope you can sorta see it in this picture.  It was really difficult to get a picture of them due to the lighting in the aquarium.  It wasn't the greatest (neither is my camera).

This is a Gecko!  Jack asked me if I asked him about car insurance...lol.

Peek a Boo!!

I didn't realize until after I took this picture, Brianna looks like she has boobs...lol.

This was a short tunnel the kids were able to climb up through.

Adan & Brianna coming down out of the tunnel.  They said it was really neat!

Adan was touching a REAL starfish!  Every time someone would touch it, it would raise it's legs up!

A REAL hermit crab!

There were even stingrays at the aquarium!

There was this area where the kids could go down into to see the stingrays up close!  The kids really enjoyed it!

Our tour guide said that this was a really rare type of shark.  Unfortunately, I didn't hear what kind it was.

A RED FROG!!

A hedge hog!

I thought it was a little funny to see this "guy" in a wet suit "floating" up on the ceiling!

There were even snakes at the aquarium too!  Ewww...I don't like snakes!

After the aquarium, we went to a local park where the kids were able to eat a sack lunch and play on the playground before returning to school.  They all said they had a great time on their trip!

Most of the kids were really pooped out!  Some even fell asleep on the bus ride home!  With the windows opened on the bus, there was a really nice breeze flowing through.  It was a beautiful day out for us today.  I asked one of the teachers if she thought the bus driver would mind driving around while we all took a little cat nap...lol.  It's nice to have someone else drive while you take a nap!  :)

Thursday 4/26/12 - Horns or Antenas?

This is what greeted me when I went in to get her out of bed this a.m!  Isn't she cute?!?!  I called them horns, Jack says they're antenas.  I'd go with antenas for now.  I'm sure in a few years, I'm sure horns will be a more appropriate description!

Good morning everybody!  What shall I get into today?!?!

Sunday 4/22/12 - I wonder what she's thinking about...

She's been sticking her fingers in her ears lately.  Next she'll be twirling her hair (when it's long enough).  :)    She was patiently waiting for me to get her cereal ready.  She's such a good little girl!

Sunday 4/14/12 - ANOTHER birthday party

Since Kindergarten has started, Brianna has been invited to TONS of birthday parties for fellow classmates.  This one was for a little boy in her class named Ethan.  It was at Chuck E. Cheeses.  Jack took Brianna to this one because earlier on in the week, I hurt my back.  I wasn't able to stand for long periods of time.  Besides, I think it's nice to let Jack have "fun" once in awhile too!

Getting ready to go PAR-TAY!!

Brianna playing in the tunnels at Chuck E. Cheeses!

Pizza is her FAVORITE!!  YUM!

She got to play fun games while there!

Getting ready to climb up in the tube tunnels

Besides Brianna's birthday party next month, I can only hope this will be the last party we have to go to for a while!  I know they're fun and all, but they can definately put a strain on your pocket book!  She always has fun and looks forward to spending time with her friends.  I'm just thankful that she didn't bring home any germs to share (this time) with her brother and sister, like she usually does!  :)

Friday 4/13/12 - Look who's 8 months old!

I was able to take some really adorable pictures of  Kyndall!  I can't believe my little baby is growing up so quickly!  She is turning into a really sweet little girl!  She's so patient (most of the time) and loving!  She goes to the doctor at the end of May for her 9 month check up.  I can't wait to see how much she's grown!  It feels like she's much heavier than she used to be!  Just ask my back and arms!  Who needs to lift weights?  :)

The red patches on each side of her mouth are from her sucking her fingers.  We've tried everything to get her to stop, but with no luck.  The pediatrican told us to put hydrocortisone cream on it.  It helps for awhile.  When she puts her fingers back in her mouth, she rubs it off again.  It's a never ending battle, I'm telling you.  None the less, she's still a cutie and we love her!  We're so glad she came into our lives.  We would be missing out on A LOT!  I think she already has her daddy wrapped around her finger.  He'd do ANYTHING for "his" Kyndall!

She's always smiling and so happy!

I LOVE her chubby lil cheeks!

Wednesday 4/11/12 - Look what's missing!

After being loose for what seems like an eternity, Brianna FINALLY lost her very FIRST tooth!  Of course, it HAD to happen during dinner time.  She bit into something and it started to bleed.  I forgot how much a tooth can bleed.  She was freaked out about all the blood and started to cry hysterically!  Oh my goodness!  If you don't know a drama queen, I can introduce you to mine!  She cried and carried on for a good 20 minutes or better.  She finally let me stick my finger in her mouth (after I washed my hands of course) to see if I could get it out.  It was just hanging there, literly.  I barely touched it and it fell out into my hand.  After we got it to stop bleeding, she settled down a bit.  After that, she was REALLY excited about losing her tooth!   She had to call Grandma & Grandpa Parker & Meemaw to let them know what happened!  We told her that the tooth fairy would visit tonight and leave her money!  She said she was so excited, she was going to wait up for her to "personally" hand her the tooth!  Haha!

Calling Grandma to let her know!

The morning after!  I asked her if she was excited that the Tooth Fairy had visited her.  She said she was, but she was "expecting" MORE money.  I asked her what she meant by that?  She said, "Well, I was HOPING for $5 instead of only $1".  I told her she was lucky that she got any money at all!  Fortunately for me, I found a Tooth Fairy who's willing to work cheap!  Lol!!

4/10/12 - Part 2

Good Morning Everyone!  Now, I'm going to try to post more pictures and update you all on why we've been so dang busy around here!  There may have to be a part 3, who knows!  :)

Brianna had a Christmas program at school.  She and her cousin, Adan, were in it.  I wanted to take their picture.  Jacob had to get in on it too!

Kyndall got to eat rice cereal for the 1st time.

This is what she thought of it...

Isn't she a cutie patootie?!

We got to spend Christmas Eve with my side of the family.  This is Brianna & Jacob with Grandma Great (my grandma).

We had a family picture taken.  Looks like we have a big family, doesn't it?  This was a pretty good picture, I think.  Everyone (except Kyndall) is looking at the camera!  YAY for us!  :)

My grandma with her two daughters (my aunts), Margaret & Lynne.

My grandma being silly!

After seeing Grandma Great with these on, Brianna had to try them on too!

Some of the loot that the kids got from Santa Claus!

They got a bunch of cool stuff!

2011 was this little lady's 1st Christmas!  She had a blast too!

Both kids wanted a hoola hoop for Christmas

Brianna got make up for Christmas.  I let her put some on.  Let's just say, she needs some practice putting it on...lol.  Don't worry though, she won't be getting any practice any time soon though.  Not if her daddy has any say in it!  :D

We went outside to play, but had to bundle up first!  Someone isn't too fond of her hat!

Kyndall started rolling over on New Year's Day!  She's getting to be such a big girl!

The kids got a play house for Christmas, that they were able to color and play in.  They had fun coloring it and playing inside!

We lounged around the house (well, some of us did).

Kyndall started eating baby food today with her cereal for the 1st time!  She's eating squash here.  Can't ya tell that she LOVED it?!?!

We played a lot with our new toys from  Christmas

At school, Brianna celebrated their 100th day of Kindergarten.  They had to bring in 100 of something (marshmallows, popsicle sticks, M & M's, etc).  Brianna drew a picture of a tree and glued 100 M & M's to it.  They were "supposed" to be apples.  :)

We got to celebrate the holidays with more family members!  Grandpa Bill (My dad) with Jacob and Brianna.

Grandma Great holding Kyndall.  Kyndall really liked grandma's shirt!

Brianna at yet another birthday party.  Her friends are:  (L) to (R) Katie, Leah, Lauren & Brianna.  The little girl having the party's name was Breanna.  Yes, they're both in the same class and EVERYONE calls our Brianna, Breanna.

This was at the birthday party.  It was at a place close to where we live that does gymnastic classes.  Brianna LOVED this!  Only problem was, after the party was over, we had to go home to do her nebulizer treatment.  My poor girl was coughing and wheezing something terrible due to her asthma.  I don't know if she'll be able to do stuff like this in the future because of it.

Kyndall discovered her thumb and how to suck on it.

Can you believe that a KINDERGARTENER is DIAGRAMING a picture they drew of a dog?!  Totally unreal!

Brianna made this heart for her brother.  She gave it to him as he was asleep on the couch.  Isn't she sweet?!

Kyndall started using her exersaucer for the 1st time.  I'm so glad I have this!  All three of my kids have been able to enjoy this wonderful toy!

Kyndall's 1st time sitting in her high chair to eat!  Before, she wasn't able to sit up real well and would slouch over to the side.  Now she's able to sit up like a big girl!  :)

We enjoyed eating dinner together & telling funny stories at the dinner table.

Brianna had to illustrate and write her very OWN book!  Yes, she is ONLY in Kindergarten!  I'm kinda scared to see what kind of homework she's gonna have in 1st grade!  Holy smokes!

We had ANOTHER birthday party to attend.  I had to think real hard before I allowed her to go to another one.  It seems like every time she comes back from one, she brings home something and gives it to her little brother or someone else.  She had fun though.  I was really sick this time so Jack had to take Brianna to her party.

She got to play A LOT of games at the birthday party!

And won ALL of THESE tickets!  :)

Fortunately, by the time this picture was taken, Jacob was on the mend.  Poor little guy was REALLY sick.  He got sick about 2-3 days AFTER Brianna went to the birthday party.  It took him a total of about 1 1/2 weeks to fully recover.   Brianna "wrote" Jacob's name with his dominos he got for Christmas.

Kyndall's 1st time taking a bath sitting up!  She REALLY enjoys sitting up!  She can see waaaay more stuff than she could laying down!  She splashes and plays with her bath toys now!

They made a "fort" by covering their activity table with one of Jacob's Car's blankets.  They would lay in here to watch their movies.

I even found another opportunity to take yet ANOTHER black mail picture!  Don't ask me what or why his hand was up his pajama shorts. I have no clue.  Really I can't take credit for this picture.  Jack was the one who saw this.  He ran to grab the camera to get a few pictures.  Boy, this little guy will be in A LOT of trouble when he gets older!  We have TONS of black mail on him!  Haha!

Kyndall has also mastered sitting up real well too!  She was about 6 months old when she started mastering this!

This was wacky wednesday, in honor of celebrating Dr. Seuss week at school.  Kids were able to wear anything they wanted to.  Brianna felt right at home because she doesn't like to match her clothes.  If I'd let her, she'd probably dress like this every day (with the hair being the exception).  Each day this week, the kids were able to wear funny miss matched things.  Tuesday was silly sock day.  I forgot what monday & thursday were.  On friday, the kids got to wear a Cat in the Hat, Hat that parents could buy their kids.  If they didn't have a hat like The Cat in the Hat, then they could wear any kind of hat they wanted.

This is what the back of her hair looked like.

Since it's been unseasonably warm for this time of year, Jack had to start cutting the grass.  Of course, the kids had take turns riding on daddy's mower!

Maybe when they get a little older, they'll want to cut the grass themselves?  Hmm...one could dream, right?

After they were done riding on the mower, they wanted to ride their bikes.

This was Kyndall's 1st time riding on Daddy's mower.  I'm not sure she knew what to think about it.  We were both surprised that she didn't cry.

She is such a happy little lady!  Only when she's REALLY hungry or tired will she let you know she's not happy.  She also doesn't like to get dressed too much either.

We played and laughed A LOT with each other!

We showed our "cheesy" smiles A LOT!

We "purdied" ourselves up by painting our fingernails.

We let Momma put purdy flowers in our hair.  She doesn't quite have enough hair to hold it in place very long.  I had to take this picture quick before it fell out.

This is proof as to who is REALLY the boss around our house!  :D

We went to the park to see the Easter Bunny ride in on the fire truck, like he does every year.

I tried REALLY hard to get a picture of all 3 kiddos while they were looking at the camera.  Kyndall wouldn't stop staring at Jacob's Bunny ears...lol.  Oh well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad, right?

Jacob getting ready to hunt for Easter Eggs!  Isn't he cute?!

I'm glad my kids aren't scared of the Easter Bunny.  This one's face kinda creeps me out.  I've never told anyone that though.  Thankfully my kids don't feel the same way.

This lil gal was happy just sitting in her umbrella stroller watching all the activity going on around her.

Look what Kyndall can do now!  She was soooo proud of herself that she could pull herself up to a standing position!  Daddy had to lower her crib so she couldn't fall out!

After I fed Kyndall, I needed to put her down so I could start making dinner.  She needed to stay upright for a little bit longer so she wouldn't spit up.  I asked Brianna if she wanted to hold her baby sister.  She's ALWAYS bugging me to hold Kyndall.  Brianna jumped at the chance!  Looks like Kyndall's head is almost as big as Brianna's!  Also looks like Kyndall is half as big as Brianna, doesn't it?  It was so cute, I had to take their picture!  Brianna kept asking me, "Mommy, are YOU done yet?  She's REALLY getting heavy!"  :)

Yes, she's also pulling up in her pack and play too.  She thinks she's hot stuff now.  :)

I had so much to do the evening before Easter.  I said to Brianna, "I wish you weren't scared of the vacuum.  I could use some help."  She offered to help me out!  I was shocked!  I had to get proof that she REALLY did vacuum!  She did a pretty good job for the first time!

All the Loot that the Easter Bunny left for the kiddos.  Kyndall's is on the far left, Jacob's is in the middle & Brianna's is on the right.

I found some of Brianna & Jacob's old toys they used to play with when they were little.  I cleaned them up and gave them to Kyndall to play with.  I don't know who had more fun playing, Kyndall or her other two older siblings!

Brianna got to go to an award ceremony for her book she wrote & illustrated.  It was a breakfast/awards banquet type thing.  I asked Jack to go because I had to go into work real early that day.  He was able to go in later so he was able to go with her.  She was so proud of her book!

This was the award that all the kids got for participating in this contest.  Oh, I remember now that this was during "Dr. Seuss" week.  This was on a thursday and it was pajama day.  This is why she had on her night gown.

Jacob also made the local newspaper!  This is the 2nd time he's made it in less than 2 years.  Must be the sunglasses!  Notice the photographer got the side shot that I got the front one at the Easter Egg Hunt?!?!  The photographer thought this was my brother, Dave's, son.  See Dave, I TOLD you he looks like you.  :)

PHEW!!  That's all the picture I have!  I've told you we've been busy!  I'll try not to be gone so long!  I hope you enjoyed catching up on what we've been up to!
