The friends that Brianna sat next to on the bus (L to R): Ashleigh, Breanna & Brianna
My nephew, Adan & his classmate Dalton
The parents that went on the trip had to have a group of 5-6 kids each. These were the kiddos in my group: (L to R) Brianna, Breanna, Adan, Ashleigh & Dalton. These kids were really good today!
While we were waiting to be assigned into touring groups, I saw this. It's a HUGE vault! We didn't get to find out where it leads to.
Our tour guide showing the kids a turtle
Showing us a bird (I forgot what kind it was though)
Our tour guide told us that these turtles were over 110 years old! He said that a family found them and kept passing them down through their family over the years!
I don't remember what this guy's name was. He was walking above our heads in a tube!
I don't recall what type of fish these were either, but they were HUGE!! This picture doesn't do them justice at all!! I will say that I didn't get to hear too much of what our tour guide was saying through out the whole tour. Trying to keep track of 5 kids (plus other people's kids in the group) kept me busy and preoccupied! Not to mention it was difficult to hear the guide talking over all the kids!
These fish were COOL!! They were Paddle Fish! They had long beak like noses and swam around with their mouths opened. I hope you can sorta see it in this picture. It was really difficult to get a picture of them due to the lighting in the aquarium. It wasn't the greatest (neither is my camera).
This is a Gecko! Jack asked me if I asked him about car insurance...lol.
Peek a Boo!!
I didn't realize until after I took this picture, Brianna looks like she has boobs...lol.
This was a short tunnel the kids were able to climb up through.
Adan & Brianna coming down out of the tunnel. They said it was really neat!
Adan was touching a REAL starfish! Every time someone would touch it, it would raise it's legs up!
A REAL hermit crab!
There were even stingrays at the aquarium!
There was this area where the kids could go down into to see the stingrays up close! The kids really enjoyed it!
Our tour guide said that this was a really rare type of shark. Unfortunately, I didn't hear what kind it was.
A RED FROG!!
A hedge hog!
I thought it was a little funny to see this "guy" in a wet suit "floating" up on the ceiling!
There were even snakes at the aquarium too! Ewww...I don't like snakes!
After the aquarium, we went to a local park where the kids were able to eat a sack lunch and play on the playground before returning to school. They all said they had a great time on their trip!
Most of the kids were really pooped out! Some even fell asleep on the bus ride home! With the windows opened on the bus, there was a really nice breeze flowing through. It was a beautiful day out for us today. I asked one of the teachers if she thought the bus driver would mind driving around while we all took a little cat nap...lol. It's nice to have someone else drive while you take a nap! :)
