Monday 03/01/10 - Is it THIS time ALREADY??

Jack's mom mentioned that she had asked Jacob if he wanted to sit on the toilet earlier today.  He's starting to go into a corner or hide behind a chair when he has to poop (just like his big sister did).  To our surprise, he's more than willing to do it (unlike his sister in the beginning).  I asked him if he wanted to go to the bathroom to sit on the potty.  He threw his toy down and ran to the bathroom!  He was so excited!  He backed his little butt up to the toilet for me to lift him up to sit on HIS thrown...lol.  These were the pictures I got of our newest adventure.  Now do you REALLY think I wouldn't get pictures of him sitting on the toilet?  I took several pictures of Brianna!  Hee hee.

Jacob really likes to sit on the BIG boy potty!

He had to bring a toy with him to play with while we were in there...VROOM!!

He kept turning around to see if there was anything in there!

This was the look I got when I told him it was time to get off the potty.  He looks like, "Aww man!  I like sitting here.  Are you for real, mom?"

After we finished in the bathroom, I took him to his room (at g'ma's house) to get him a fresh diaper.  Lil stinker got away from me before I could get it on!  He likes to jump up and down on Brianna's bed with OR without pants on...lol.  What a cute little Jakey butt, huh?!

The little debol even turned around to see if anyone was watching him.  He likes an audience.

I know Jacob may be just a tad bit young to know how to use the potty at this stage of the game.  After all, he IS only 18 months old.  At his doctor's appointment last friday, his doctor told me to try to start putting him on the toilet to see if he'd get the idea about using it.  We've already made progress!  Atleast he's interested and likes to sit there.  We couldn't even get that far with Brianna until she was over 2 1/2 years old.  She was just stubborn.  Maybe there will be hope for us that Jacob can be potty trained by the time he's two.  I'd be fine with the end of the year.  Am I asking for too much?  It took us 3 1/2 years to get Brianna TOTALLY potty trained.  I know, each child is different.  Keep your fingers crossed that Jacob won't be as difficult....PUHLEEZE!! :)
