Today, I've been cleaning out Jacob's closet. Taking out too small clothes to make room for bigger ones. When we took the day bed out of his room to make more room for all the toys a few months back, I put the bedding for it in his closet. I had to take most everything out of his closet (to make sure I didn't miss anything). I put it in his bed for the time being to keep it out of the way. Jacob thought it was fun to have all of that in his crib. He climbed right in there to play and "hide"! He wanted to take his nap with all that stuff in there! Jack was able to get a few pictures of Jacob before I had to take it out. I would have to be out of my mind to let him sleep with all those pillows, blankets and such. The funny thing about Jacob is, he will climb INTO his crib, but he won't climb OUT. Go figure. Don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled that he climbs in. I'd rather it be that than climbing out. Brianna never did either. She LOVED being in her crib. I remember when we tried to convert her crib to a big girl bed, she cried and threw a fit so we had to change it back. If you're curious, I have that one posted under our old blog. You can find the link to it on the main page of the new blog under REMINISING.
The multi-colored sheet he's holding onto is one that I purchased a few weeks back at the HUGE yardsale in Edwardsville. It's got the cartoon characters from the Backyardigans on them (for those of you who know who they are). That's the flat sheet. The fitted one is orange and yellow (Angie, you would LOVE it...lol.). For some strange reason, Jacob insists on carrying one, if not both, around the house at all times. I bought them to put on his crib or a "big boy" bed in the future. Needless to say, I can't get them away from him long enough to try them out on his crib. However, I have managed to wash them before I gave them to him...lol.
My lil' guy is such a handful, but he makes up for it with his charm and handsomeness (is that even a word?). Lucky for him. That's what saves him EVERY TIME! That's mother nature at work! HA!
