Sunday 4/18/10 - Our visit to Warrenton, MO.

Today we ventured out to Warrenton, MO to visit my dad and his girlfriend, Rosina for their birthdays, Easter, etc.  Their birthdays are only 2 weeks apart so I thought we could squeeze them both into one visit.  It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get there each way (from our house).  The kids always have a blast playing with their grandparents.  They even get to take a tractor ride!  We all had a great time catching up on things, eating a wonderful meal of ribs, potato salad, AWESOME baked beans (I'll have to make these and post 'em on the blog.  I've NEVER had baked beans like this) and of course, taking a tractor ride!  My dad was a little sore due to having surgery a few days prior because of a car accident he was in a few weeks ago.  I don't know who had more fun...the kids OR grandma and grandpa!  :D   I'll get to posting my pictures and you be the judge!

Brianna said she wanted to look pretty for G'ma and G'pa.  She said she wanted to wear a pretty dress and for me to fix her hair pretty too.  I also had to paint her toenails so she could show them off wearing her new dressy flip flops.  This child is turning into a girly girl!  (yay!!)

When we arrived, the kids went on an Easter egg hunt in the front yard.  How fun!

My Jakey boy is gettin' good at findin' those bunny eggs.

Look!  I found more eggs!

Grandpa Bill was helping Jacob open his eggs.  Instead of candy, they put money in the eggs.  What person wouldn't want money over candy?  I'll tell ya who...

This little guy.  For me, it better be some pretty dang good candy in those eggs to pick it over $$.

Look at all the loot the Easter Bunny left!  WOW.

My lil' man was more interested in the eggs than his loot.

My favorite gal with her loot.

Grandma Ro had to help Brianna get some of her eggs opened.  The Easter Bunny had to tape them closed so the money wouldn't fall out.

Brianna had to compare her basket to her brothers to see who got more eggs.  Heck with those eggs!  Whadda 'bout that loot, kids?

Next, we went outside to play.

We had races across g'ma and g'pa's deck.

Practiced our balance on the retaining wall

She's got such amazing balance!  She's such a big girl!

This lil' guy needed some help from daddy

We played Ring Around the Rosey with Grandma Ro

This boy had to spread some of his terrorizing to Grandma's strawberry patch.  He was trying to uproot her some of her garden decorations.

All this went on while this guy did this...THANKS DAD!  He made some awesome BBQ ribs.  YUM!

This boy is STILL fascinated with his Easter Eggs.

Then the kids took turns dumping their eggs on everyone

Brianna dumped her eggs on Grandma Rosina's head next

Even this guy had to get in on the fun!

When everyone was finished playing with the eggs, the kids picked them up.  They're very good helpers!

Jacob didn't like his daddy wearing HIS Easter eggs

I think this was the ONLY time this boy sat down to rest...lol.  Trust me, it was only for a SECOND.

Next, it was time for a tractor ride!  They LOVE these.  They only get 'em when they come here.

They sat down and behaved real well.  No one tried to jump out.

Grandpa Bill let them take turns "driving".  This boy was facinated with grandpa's tractor.  He LOVES anything that has wheels!

Even this little girl had a blast!

After the tractor ride, Grandpa got out his stash of balloons!

He knows the kids LOVE balloons.  He made fun things outta them for B & J.

Each had a "hat" to wear.  Jacob liked to wear his more like a necklace.

Brianna had to show her little brother how to wear it "correctly".

Jacob decided to share his hat with everyone.  He let Grandma Rosina wear it for a few seconds.

Then it was my turn.  Okay...no comments from the peanut gallery on my hat, peeps.

They were able to con their grandpa out of another tractor ride.  Don't worry, they didn't have to twist his arm too hard to get one!

This little girl was thrilled to death.  I don't know who loves these more.

They were both in hog heaven.  This is usually how my pictures come out of my two.  Jacob's just starring at me (when I can catch him looking in my direction, WITH the camera in my hand) and Brianna's eyes are usually closed.

Grandpa even let this guy drive the tractor.  He was in hog heaven too!  Something about tractors excites this man.  I don't see what the excitement's all about, but I'm not a man.

Yeah, I didn't wanna feel "left out" so I decided to get in on the fun and take a ride too.

His face describes how he feels about tractors.  He was practically gitty with excitement!  I see his daddy's passion for them has rubbed off.  His grandpa Parker is the same way.  Must be genetic.

After our SECOND ride, it was time for ICE CREAM CAKE!  YUM!  All I can say is, Ro, you make one mean cake!  Jack liked it so well, he ate the rest of mine PLUS 3 pieces of his own.  This man is also addicted to ice cream.  He's NEVER met a kind he hasn't liked.  His favorite is chocolate.  He gets this addiction from his momma.

Grandpa and his kiddos.  Funny how Brianna's the only one looking.  No, Jacob has his finger in his eye, not his nose.  Not this time anyway!

Jacob decided to wear his Easter basket on his head.  He thought he was hilarious!

Jacob almost fell out of the chair.  Thank goodness Rosina caught him!

Monkey see, monkey do

Someone showed B & J how to make their balloons stick to the wall.

Jacob was so proud of himself, he would clap and say, "YAY"!

She was proud of herself too!

Even on the ride home, this girl wouldn't let go of her balloons.

This is how this guy rode home...without any.

Thank you Dad and Ro for the great time!  We all had a ton of fun!  We can't wait to visit again.  Brianna's already planning our next visit!
