Sunday 5/9/10 - I have a green thumb??

Over the past several weeks, I had a few people I work with bring me things to plant.   Someone brought me a few tomato and pepper plants.  Another person I work with was kind enough to dig up a few hostas in their yard for me to plant.  Since we've lived here almost 10 years and haven't planted anything but trees in our yard I figured it was long over due.  We finally were able to get everything planted today.  Jack tilled me a HUGE garden to plant all my tomatoes, onions, peppers, green beans, etc.  I showed him where I wanted my hostas so he could plant them too.  I must look like I have a green thumb or something.  People if I can kill a cactus, I can surely kill these too.  Give me a few weeks.  I'm hoping I won't.  I'm gonna give it my best shot!  I'm hoping to have beautiful HOMEGROWN tomatoes (those are the BEST!!), peppers, onions, greenbeans and other goodies by summer (hopefully).  Sounds like I'm gonna be making A LOT of homemade salsa!  YUM!  I also bought some cilantro to plant too.  I LOVE cilantro!

My garden and what we have planted so far.  Tomato and pepper plants.

I about died when I saw how BIG Jack made this garden!  WOW.  He must have A LOT of faith in me...lol.  I think he got a little carried away with the tiller!

The hostas that Jack planted for me.  Joanne, I'm gonna do my best NOT to kill them. You DID say they're hardy, right?   They're STILL a live so far.

I'll keep everyone informed if my thumb is green or another color!
