This evening, St. Jacob had their second Film Festival of the summer. We weren't able to go to the first one in June. They were playing a moving, "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs". Can't say that I've heard of this movie before, but they had a bouncy house, face painting and other fun activities for the kids to partake in. We knew we wouldn't be able to stay for the whole movie, but since Jacob is almost two, we were hoping he'd behave better than last year. Hey, I know I was asking a lot and it was a long shot, but it was worth a try. We ended up leaving at intermission because Jacob was yelling so loud, people kept turning around looking at him. Yes, we were outside so that gives you an idea of how disruptive he was. He kept running all around, in and out of people's way. Jack and I took turns getting up to chase him. Then, if all that wasn't enough, Brianna was sitting next to me asking questions about the movie. She'd say, "Mommy, why is that man (in the movie) doing that? Mommy, why is it raining food?" You know...Blah, blah, blah... By the time intermission came, Jack and I were pooped and ready to go home. We weren't able to watch hardly any of the movie so we figured what was the point of staying? It gets so frustrating watching movies with our kids. At home, we never get to watch movies. Our kids won't stay in one spot long enough or keep quiet long enough to be able to hear it. Maybe one day!
This was the bouncy house! Isn't this cool??
This is where the kids would climb in and go thru a maze like area
To climb up this wall
To slide down this HUGE slide! WWEEEEE!!!
We thought Jacob would be too little to go thru this maze, but there was a really nice girl who helped him.
We thought he would never be able to climb up this wall. Surprisingly, he didn't need much help at all!
He really liked sliding down this slide!
Then they wanted to swing on the playground at the park...
They also played on other fun stuff on the playground too...
Uh oh! The movie is getting ready to start! Let's go Jakey!
Gotta hurry up and get our homemade kettle corn...YUM!
Everyone got their own bag of kettle corn and enjoyed it!
Sorry to say, it wasn't enough to keep them put and quiet for long!
