Saturday 8/21/10 - Mary Kay Awards Ceremony

Tonight was my very first Mary Kay awards ceremony.  I wasn't going to go because #1 it was 70 miles away in Effingham, IL.  #2  Jack wasn't able to go because we didn't have a babysitter.  I REALLY wanted him to come with me.  I was eventually persuaded to go by my director and future sales director.  I was told that I was winning some awards and had to come.  I had no clue that I was winning anything or what I was winning.  My future sales director, Heather, was nice to let me ride with her and her husband, Aaron.  I was surprised with how the evening turned out.  I actually had a great time!  Heather's husband was nice to take pictures for me when I wasn't able to.  Here are some pictures that were taken tonight...

All the awards that were being given out tonight

Pictures taken at events and parties throughout the year of our unit

Me hugging my Unit Director, Lisa Goodwin, after winning my award.  I was shocked as all get out!  The award was for being #10 in the Court of Sales!  Out of all the women in our HUGE unit, I was #10 in selling!  Who woulda thunk that??  Not me...

I also won a pretty bracelet too.

I was in such shock, I barely remember this.

These were other people who were in the Court of Sales too.  Not everyone attended that won.  The man in the picture is the gal's, who's sitting down, husband.  He doesn't sell MK.

This is Misty.  She won the Miss Go Getter award.  You earn this by being helpful and nice to other members on your team. I could see why.  I think she's the nicest person I've come across in MK so far.  She's genuinely nice.  She said she's heard all about me...uh oh!  My reputation has made it all the way to Effingham??  YIKES!!

Sylvia, Kate, Heather, Sabrina & Me.  All of us who attended on Heather's team.

Heather won the award for recruiting the most team members.  She earned her career car last year in Mary Kay.  That's one of my goals!  Her husband is very supportive of her!  He's such a sweet guy!

All of the girls in our unit.  We're spread out all over IL.  There were a lot of girls who weren't able to attend tonight's ceremony.  This was everyone who was there.

This is the shirt Heather's Husband got for her winning the recruiting award.  I LOVE IT!!  This is the front...

This is the back...I think Jack needs one of these!  Whadda ya think?  :D

My trophy for being #10 in the Court of Sales

The bracelet that came with the award too.

I won this educational CD, but I forgot why...lol.

I also won this pink baseball, but again, I forgot why.  I wasn't listening cause I didn't think they were gonna call my name!  Go Figure!

I won this porfolio binder for completing all of my tasks that I was asked to do.  This was my favorite prize of the night!  You'll see why in another post...
