Thursday 1/20/11 - My poor boy!

My poor kids both have again what we've all been passing around.  Both have this horrible barking cough & runny nose/stuffy nose.  Fortunately there's no fever with whatever this is.  The pediatrician gave us a nebulizer for Brianna last year because of her wheezing and coughing (he's on the fence whether she has asthma or not).  He's told us that whenever she starts her coughing and has problems breathing, to get her to do a few breathing treatments to help her out.  It usually does the trick and she's fine for several more weeks/months.   I figured since it worked on Brianna, I would try it out on Jacob.  I wasn't sure if he'd sit still long enough for the treatment or if he'd even sit there with the mask on his face.  I asked him if he wanted to do one of sissy's breathing treatments?  I told him it would help him with his cough and make him be able to breathe better.  I told him only BIG boys could do the breathing treatments.  I asked him if he could be a big boy for me?  He said, "Okay!  I be big boy, mommy!"  I couldn't believe it, but he sat there the WHOLE time (about 15 minutes) and did great!  I asked him if I could take his picture to show everyone what a big boy he was!  He was so proud!  It's totally amazing how much this nebulizer helps my kiddos.  I am so thankful I have this machine! 



He sat here the whole time, just like this!  He was so good!  Sometimes he shocks the living daylights outta me! 

My poor baby!  I hope he doesn't have to start using this like his big sister does.
