Thursday 12/30/10 - Please accept my apology

I wanted to apologize to all my blog readers for being MIA for awhile. I know it's been about a month since my last post.  I haven't really even taken that many pictures lately.  Life on our side of the fence has been pretty busy, to say the least.  I've been sick since before Christmas and we all seem to be passing it back and forth to each other.  Even Grandma & Grandpa Parker have some version of what we have, unfortunately.  Whatever this bug is, is refusing to leave us alone.  I can't wait for warmer weather so we can open up the window to let some fresh air in.  Maybe that will air out our house and get rid of all the germs for awhile.  FYI:  SPRING IS MARCH 20TH!!!

A few days ago, we had to take Brianna to the doctor.  She had two HUGE lumps on her neck, one on each side.  After a throat culture (that made her puke in the doctor's office....YUK!), we were told she once again has strep throat.  The doctor seemed concerned since she's had it a number of times.  Something tells me she'll be getting her tonsils out eventually.  She's been taking her medicine for a few days now and her lumps are getting smaller.  Fortunately, she didn't have a fever this time.  The only way we knew she was sick was the golf ball sized lumps in her neck.  It was REALLY weird!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she keeps her germs to herself and doesn't share this with anyone.  I've had strep throat before and it was horrible.  I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.  Because of Brianna getting strep throat again and me being sick for over 5 weeks, I FINALLY convinced my doctor to put me on antibiotics.  I had a sore throat for 4 days and when I found out what B had, it REALLY had me concerned.  Trust me, I. DON'T. WANT. STREP. THROAT!!  My doctor was reluctant to give me any medicine before because all the tests I had done came back negative.  They didn't know what they would be treating.  Hopefully, I'll be on the mend now and will start feeling better!

One more thing I'd like to bring up before I start posting what we've been up to.  If you notice on the right side of the screen, you'll see when you sign into our blog, it will register that you're on here along with where you're from.  There's a reason why I put that widget on here.  I want to see how many people REALLY read our blog.  If there's not that many people who are no longer interested, I had thought about not doing this anymore.  I don't have a lot of time anymore to sit at the computer to update our blog.  Especially if no one is interested in reading it.   Don't get me wrong, I love to do it.  I mainly do it for all our family and friends who are out of state and don't get to see us very often.  It's an easy way for me to keep a lot of people updated on what we're doing.  So, if you like to read our blog, let me know!  I don't care who you are! I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time talking to the wind.  :D  If you like our blog, you are welcome to share our link with others too!  Our blog address is:  http://www.briannaandjacobparker.blogspot.com/
Jack won't let me post pictures on Facebook, but I can do it here!

With that said, this is what we've been up to....

My sister in law, Sarah, was very kind to offer to watch my kids this week so I wouldn't have to take off work.  It's very difficult to take off when it's the end of the month for me.  Since we've gotten a new computer system at work, we've all been very far behind, trying to get caught up with our work.  Grandma Parker had to have some surgery and wasn't able to watch the kiddos for a week.

Sarah said Brianna was really good (she usually is).  Jacob, on the other hand, tested her the first day or so, but was good the rest of the time.  The kids liked going to Aunt Sarah's because their cousins, Adan, Lily & Khloee were there to play with too.  Sarah said all the kids had a blast playing together!  I am very grateful to Sarah for watching the kids for us!  Thank you Sarah!  Jack and I appreciate it A LOT!!

Sarah had craft time one day and this is what Brianna made for me!  Isn't it cute?!?!  It's a sheep!
