We were getting ready to leave to run errands, when Brianna ran out of her room yelling, "Mommy! Daddy! Come quick! Jacob is painting his fingernails with MY polish!" I ran into his room to find him sitting on the floor holding a bottle of his sister's nail polish and his nails were painted! I about died when I saw this! I told him that he couldn't go out with his nails painted. Boys aren't supposed to wear fingernail polish. Jacob immediately ran into the bathroom, trying despirately to wash it off. It wouldn't come off (of course). I had Jack take my polish remover and take it all off. I was trying to finish getting ready so we could leave. I might add that Jacob had it in his hair too (don't ask how he did that). I must say he did a pretty good job of painting his nails for the first time! He wasn't too messy with it. I will apologize for the pictures being blurry. He didn't want me to take his picture so I was having a difficult time holding his hand with one hand and trying to take his picture with the other. You'll get the idea though!
Over all, he did a pretty good job! He picked a pretty color, didn't he!? I had painted Brianna's nails earlier (with a different color) and he wanted me to paint his too. I wouldn't do it so he took it upon himself to do it!
I know this is hard to see, but he had spots of pink nail polish all in his hair. Jack had to take a cotton ball & finger nail polish remover and scrub his head to get it all out...lol.
I tried one more time to get a picture of his nails before the polish was taken off. He wouldn't hold still so it was hard to get a decent picture!
Needless to say, I've learned a lesson here. I will now be painting his fingernails (when he asks), but only use CLEAR polish! Haha! :D
