Friday 5/27/11 - My little artist

I know I have mentioned several times before, but my favorite girl in the whole world LOVES to draw, paint and color!  She'd sit at the table for hours if I'd let her.  I must say she's getting pretty good at making pictures.  She's so detailed about what she draws and is very passionate about it.  I have artwork hung all over the house and at my desk at work because I'm so proud of her!  I HAD to take a picture of this drawing she did.  I was amazed with how detailed it was.  I took a picture to show it off!  For a 5 year old, I must say it's pretty good! 


If you notice, when she draws a picture of herself, she almost always has RED hair.  She does this for two reasons:  #1 - she LOVES the color red!  #2 - she wishes she could have red hair like her favorite Disney Princess, Ariel.   She told me she drew a picture of herself, reading a book sitting in the grass on a warm sunny day.  Notice how she even drew pictures INSIDE the book on it's pages?  She's also wearing high heels and she even gave herself eyelashes.  She said girls have them, boys don't...lol.  Later on she colored the face green and said this was Princess Fiona (from the movie Shrek).  She said she wanted to change it.  I didn't take a picture of the updated one.  I thought this one was better, but she's the artist, NOT me!!  :D
