Today I had to go to the store to pick up a few things that I forgot this past weekend. I had to take Jacob and Kyndall with me. I must admit, I was a little nervous taking Kyndall AND Jacob. Why, you ask? Well, Jacob is a 3 year old BOY. He doesn't always like to listen. Need I say more? As for Kyndall? Well, she's an infant who doesn't enjoy being confined, especially in her carseat. I knew it would be only a matter of time before she started letting EVERYONE know that she wasn't enjoying her shopping experience! I thought I was going to make it through the store without any problem. HA! I thought wrong! Jacob was really good for me (which was a surprise, but a relief for me). Kyndall, on the other hand, wasn't so good. She started screaming at the top of her lungs to let me and the WHOLE store know that she wasn't having anymore of the torture I was putting her through...lol. You wouldn't believe all the nasty looks I was getting from some of the customers in the store (a majority of them were older. I guess they NEVER had kids who acted up when they went somewhere). As if I was making her scream. How DARE ME!! I had no choice but to take her out of her carseat so she would stop. As I was walking towards the front of the store to check out (to get the heck outta dodge) a really nice lady stopped me. I guess it was plain to see how much I was struggling to push my cart with a 3 year old on the front and holding an infant to boot. She asked me if I needed any help. I declined very nicely, but thanked her for her kindness. We talked for a few minutes, then we went on our merry way. It's hard to believe that something so simple, as a total stranger that takes a minute to be kind, would make my day, but she did. I never knew that there were nice people that actually shopped in WALMART of all places!! My mom has commented before about how rude the people are at the one I shop at. I can honestly say, I whole heartedly agree with her. To say the least, that was an experience. If I can't have someone watch the kids while I run to the store or have someone else do it for me, then I don't go...PERIOD. That's not always possible unfortunately. If I don't have to go somewhere, I don't!
Anyway, while shopping, I found this adorable outfit that I just knew B would absolutely LOVE! I HAD to get it for her! When she got home from school, she tried it on. It is a little too big, but she'll grow into it soon. She's growing like a weed!
I thought this was so cute! I even bought her Hello Kitty tights to go with her outfit!
She's been bugging me for a short sleeved nightgown. Low and behold, I found a Hello Kitty one!
Since Jacob has been doing so well with potty training, I let him pick out some underwear as a motivator. We'll see how well this motivates him to stop pottying in his pants. I'd like to know just one little thing...Why is it that MY kids are so dang stubborn when it comes to potty training?!
