Friday 10/14/11 - Listen to your parents

This afternoon, since the weather wasn't too bad (& waiting for Daddy to come home) we went outside to play. The kids were in rare form so I took a few pictures of them in action...

This is a yummy "salad" Brianna made for me.  She turned her frisby upside down, put rocks, clover & grass in it.  She brought it to me & said, "Here Mommy.  I made you a salad."  I told her, "Thank you sweetie!  It looks tasty!".

The sweet & thoughtful little lady who made me my yummy salad!

My handsome little guy

He went 3 wheelin' around one of our trees.  He had a lot of fun getting all dirty!

She brought one of her balls outside for her & her brother to play around.  They got tired of that after only a few minutes and reverted back to playing with their frisbies.  Brianna was getting a little too close to the pool.  I told her to be careful not to throw it in there.  Not even 5 minutes later, I heard her crying.  I asked her what was the matter?  She screamed, "MY FRISBY WENT INTO THE POOL!!"  I told her that it was in there until next spring.  I sure as heck wasn't climbing in there to get it.  I told her when her dad came home, he could dangle her, from her ankles, into the pool so she could get it out.  Needless to say, she wasn't thrilled with that answer.  :)

So folks, the moral to this story is to ALWAYS listen to your parents.  They know what's best...lol.  :)  I think that's a hard lesson to learn for most kids.
