One day last week, while waiting at the front door for Brianna's bus to arrive, I found some goodies that the Halloween fairy apparently left on my coffee table in the living room. Funny how they were there for 4 days before I noticed. Hey, I'm busy and I don't always have time to pay attention to details. :) I bet you didn't know there was a Halloween Fairy, did you? I didn't either. Anyway, there were all sorts of neat things in the package I found. One of the things was an octopus. When submerged into water, it grows to 600 times it's original size (over 48 hours). I highly doubt it will get THAT big, but that's what it said on the package. Those are the manufacter's words, not mine. I told the kids about it and they wanted to see how big this octopus would get. They were really excited! Today, we put our "friend" into water to see what he'd do. I took pictures to document our progress...
This is our friend "Red" before we started...
This is how little he was BEFORE being submerged into water

Can't wait to see how BIG he'll get! We put him in water at 2:30 pm this afternoon.
This is how big he was around 8:50 pm tonight
His progress at 11:05 am on 10/29/11
