Sunday 10/23/11 - Pumpkin Picking

When going to the grocery store earlier in the week, I was reminded that we had a fruit/vegetable stand just down the road from our house.  How convenient considering NOTHING is close to our house.  I told Jack I wanted to take the kids to pick out a pumpkin since we haven't had a chance before now.  He didn't want to take Kyndall out so he told me to take B & J.  He offered to stay home with her.  So, we headed down the road to pick out a pumpkin.  I had no idea they had a patch of pumpkins along side their stand for people to pick their own!  What a bonus!  Good thing I brought my camera to capture the kids in action!  I would've gone home to get it, if I hadn't brought it along.  This is definitely one memory I want to document in my memory bank.  Pictures help me remember and make them permanent.  :)

This stand is only 1 1/2 miles from our house!

The Pumpkin Patch that was right next to the stand

Hunting for "THE PERFECT" pumpkin!

I think he's found it!

He told me this was the one he wanted!

She found her "PERFECT" one too!

I couldn't believe she could pick up her pumpkin!  When we weighed it, it was 10.45 lbs!

My babies with their pumpkins they picked

She wanted to show me again how strong she was!

He couldn't lift his.  He said it was too heavy.  I guess so..it weighed 12.83 lbs!  That's heavy for a little guy.

My big girl looking at the pumpkins

This was the best picture I could get.  The sun was in their eyes and they wanted to go home to show their daddy their pumpkins!

Some funny pumpkins we saw while we were there

Brianna wanted to get this one for Kyndall.  :)

We had a blast picking out our pumpkins!  We can't wait to carve them out for Halloween!!
