I had to put one of our child gates in front of it. He kept pulling my beaded garland off the tree and some of the ornaments too. Now I'm sure I made the right decision!
This was the look I got after I slapped his hand and told him, "NO NO JACOB! LEAVE THE TREE ALONE" 
He looks like, "You're serious, aren't you? I REALLY have to leave the tree alone, huh?"
Awe man...such disappointment in his eyes. =(
