Sunday 12/06/09 - Where do they come from?
As I was opening all of the blinds and curtains in the house this morning and getting my first cup of coffee to begin my day, I heard a loud noise. I had no idea what on earth it was so I stuck my head out the patio door to check it out. This is what I saw...
The field across the street to our east was being plowed. Probably getting ready to plant wheat again. When the fields get plowed you can always count on seagulls following behind to get any worms, bugs, etc that can be found to feast on. I never knew what kind of birds they were until Jack told me one day. I only see these birds during this time...plowing time. I'd like to know where on earth they come from? This was a "light crowd" this morning. Sometimes it seems like there's thousands of them following the tractor. It's really a sight to see! Especially for us "suburbians". That's what I call myself since I grew up in the suburbs in the St. Louis area. I'm not up on the country stuff like Jack is. =) Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
