There are so many fun things Brianna's been doing in school lately. Since Jack got laid off a few days ago (yeah a bummer) he went with Jacob and I to pick up Brianna from school today. The guys hung out in the car while I went inside to get her. I like to go in so I can look at all their project on the wall. I also noticed the school painted their walls a cool shade of brown. Kinda looks like a mud color. :) When we were at Literacy Night last night, I told him that's the color I wanted to paint our family room. I'm gonna have to ask them what color they used. Anyway, I took pictures of some of their projects and pictures. Thought you'd be interested in what she's been up to as well...
When I was emptying Brianna's backpack, I came across this picture she drew/made. I had no clue what this was supposed to be. I thought it kinda looked like a hamster with horns...lol. I asked her, "Oh wow, Brianna! What is this a drawing of, a hamster?" Her response was, "No, mommy. That's a picture of a bear." She acted surprised I couldn't tell. I said, "Oh yeah. I can see it now. Sorry 'bout that." LOL. I'm sure you all could tell immediately this was supposed to be a bear, right? :D
Her school celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday.
They made Dr. Seuss hats in honor of his birthday. Brianna is the middle child (light pink shirt).
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the kids had to make drawings of rainbows, pots of gold and shamrocks. Some kids even made traps to catch a leprechaun that's been hanging around in their classroom. This is an explanation of how to catch a leprechaun:
This was the collage in the hallway as you walked up the stairs. (notice the wall color. It doesn't show up as good in this picture. I still love it!)
Brianna's the one on the top left. Pictures of what the kids made to help catch the leprechaun.
More pictures of Brianna's friends & classmates
This is a collage that was made by the Pre-K teachers of some of the kids doing the activities. (Brianna's on the bottom left, petting a banty chicken).
Every Friday is FUN FRIDAY. Today all the kids got a "tattoo" painted on their arms by their teacher, Ms. Becky. Brianna chose this heart. When I went in to pick up Brianna, she ran to me and yelled, "MOMMY! MOMMY! LOOK! I gotta tattoo! All the kids ran over to me to show me their tattoos too. It was so cute!
