This is the line up for this recipe:
4-oz (1/2 of 8-oz pkg) PHILADELPHIA cream cheese, softened (I put mine in the microwave for 20 sec to move along)
1 cup KRAFT shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices OSCAR MAYER bacon, cooked, crumbled
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
1 clove garlic, minces (I used crushed garlic from a jar)
18 jalapeno peppers, cut lengthwise in half, seeds and membranes removed
**I cut this recipe in half. It makes enough for 18 people. Since everyone else in my immediate house hold would protest if they had to so much as look at one of these beauties, I saw no sense in making the full amount.
First, cut the stems off the jalapenos
Second, cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds and membranes. Be careful. I cleaned them under cold running water. The smell was so powerful, it made me start coughing!
After they are cleaned, place them on a foil lined baking sheet. (I put foil down for easy clean up). Hey, I hate doing dishes just as much as the next person.
COMBINE all ingredients except peppers together in a mixing bowl
This is what it should look like after mixed together (I almost forgot to take a picture of this step!)
I was trying to show what they looked like. Didn't turn out like I wanted to, sorry.
Spoon mixture into peppers and place filled-sides up, on baking sheet
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until chees is melted
If you're wondering where the other half of the peppers went, I set some aside to give to my mom. She likes these too. My Aunt & Uncle make these. They're into spicy food too!
These cute little people waited patiently for us to make their dinner while we were also cooking our yummy Rellenos
Finished!
Ooohh! I scarfed these babies down in no time flat! These were so good! I've never had Rellenos before. You can bet I'll be makin' these delicious things again...SOON! Sooo tasty!
Yup, you guessed it. This is what HE had for dinner. Like I said, he wouldn't touch rellenos with a 10 foot pole. No doubt about that! I bet you're suprised he's eating macaroni and cheese. LOL.
