St. Jacob has an Easter Egg Hunt every year. This year, it was supposed to be last Sunday, 3/28/10. Since it was nasty, cold and rainy that day, it was rescheduled for today. I didn't tell the kids about it until the last minute in case it was cancelled again. We had our doubts. It was rainy and windy this morning, but fortunately the weather cleared up in time for us to go a huntin' for some bunny eggs. I saw the "official word" that the egg hunt was still a go on Facebook. If you're a "fan" of St. Jacob, they'll post things on your Facebook page. It's something fun for the kids to do to celebrate Easter. Jacob was too young last year to participate, but this year...oh man! He had a blast! He didn't want to leave. He did better huntin' eggs than his big sister. She wouldn't pick up any egg that was dirty. LOL. Jacob didn't care if they were dirty or not. It was a big muddy mess at the park. Good thing we all wore our playin' outside shoes.
Brianna INSISTED that I paint her finger and toenails this morning. Then she had me take a picture to "show the people in the computer". That's what she says anyway.
Brianna anxiously waiting to see the Easter Bunny and to hunt eggs!
Jacob does NOT like his picture taken. Very rarely do I actually get a picture of him looking at the camera. Poor Jack usually ends up in the picture with him.
It was really windy and chilly up at the park. It wasn't this windy at home. Now THAT'S a surprise. I wish I would've brought warmer jackets a long. Brianna kept telling me how cold she was.
I asked her to show me her Easter basket. She told me yesterday, "Mommy, when I grow up, I wanna be a princess." She's well on her way. She acts like one! I wonder how much a princess makes? Her Easter basket is appropriate, in this case.

Bet you didn't know the Easter Bunny rode a fire truck, did ya? The one that comes to St. Jacob does!

All the kids 2 and under went egg hunting first. Jacob wasn't too sure about it at first.
After Jack showed him how to pick up the eggs to put in his basket, Jacob caught on real quick
Jack said that Jacob kept hogging all the eggs from the other little kids. He had to keep moving Jacob to let the other kids have some eggs too.
Look at all the eggs in his basket! It was almost full!
Brianna, on the other hand, kept running around missing eggs. She wouldn't touch any of them if they had mud on them. It was REALLY muddy.
She got some eggs. The wind was blowing right in her face. It was really windy!
Brianna's eggs she found. Notice there's NO mud on any of them.
Jacob's eggs he found. Notice some of his are muddy? He didn't care.
Shame on you Daddy! Already tryin' to steal your boy's Easter candy. :D
Brianna with the Easter Bunny. He kinda looks like a scary bunny, doesn't he? Brianna told me she thought the Easter Bunny was rude. She said, "Mommy, he didn't tell me 'You're Welcome' after I told him thank you for the candy. That's kinda rude!" LOL.
Again, Jack had to be in the picture because Jacob looked a little afraid of the Easter Bunny. I don't blame him one bit. I might be too!
Brianna saw one of her friends from school, Emilee. They played together after the egg hunt. They had fun!
Time to leave. Emilee and Brianna giving each other hugs good bye.
Time to go. We're all walking to our cars after the fun. Emilee's mom and dad are ahead of Jack, Jacob and Brianna. Of course, I'm tagging along behind, taking pictures...lol.
