Saturday 6/12/10 - Swimming!!

Today it was so hot, I decided to take the kids swimming.  Well, I didn't take them anywhere actually.  We have a pool in our backyard, for those of you who have never been to our home.  I put all our swimming suits on,  sprayed sunscreen on everyone, blew up pool floaties and toys and headed outside.  Both kids had a swimming suit that had built in floaties in them.  My mom gave Brianna one for her birthday (Thank you mom!) and I bought Jacob one, at the end of summer last year, for this year.   I thought Brianna would be the one who was scared and Jacob would LOVE the water, but I was wrong (once again).  Once Brianna realized she could float on her own, she got into the pool and floated and swam around.  She wasn't scared at all.  Her brother was a totally different story.  Jacob clung onto my neck for dear life like he would die if he touched the water.  I'm surprised I don't have claw marks on my neck, arms and back!  He hated EVERY minute we were in there.  He realized it was fun to "jump" into the pool (I had to catch him), but as soon as he was in it, he screamed to get out.  Actually he leaped into my arms, he didn't jump.  He tried to laugh and smile, but  he was so scared he couldn't.  I forgot my camera, but I took a few pictures with my camera phone.  You'll have to excuse the picture quality.  My phone doesn't take the greatest pictures, but you'll get the idea!

Brianna loved being in the pool!  She loved floating around on her own.  She's so independant!
