Friday 10/22/10 - Picnics, Decorating Pumpkins & Running FAST!!

Today after picking Brianna up from school, we went home to eat our lunch outside and have a picnic!  Both kids really enjoyed it!   After we ate our lunch, we picked our veggies out of the garden and then painted our pumpkins we got earlier on in the week.   It was a great day for having fun outside! 



I tried to get a picture of both kids before they started working on their masterpieces.  Jacob wouldn't cooperate, so Brianna tried to help me out...lol.  They both had on one of their daddy's T-Shirts so they wouldn't get their clothes all messy.

Jacob before he started working on his masterpiece.  I found out real quick that he loves to say CHEESE!  then look at the camera!  That's how I got him to look at the camera today! 

Jacob decided that he wanted to use markers first.  They showed up better.  The paint we had was water paint.  Probably a good thing!

They both decided to paint again...they were dipping their paint brushes in the water to rinse them off.

This little turkey decided to paint our umbrella on our table outside!  Fortunately he was just dipping his paint brush in the water then "painting". It was water colors so I wasn't too worried.  =)

Two pine cones she found out in the yard.  She wanted me to take a picture of them.

She said, "Mommy, watch how fast I can run out to that tree."  She's running out to the tree.

Next, she said, "Now, watch me!  I'm gonna run around that tree!" 

There she goes!  I have no idea what her facination was with this tree, but I didn't really care.  She was burning off energy right before her nap.  That's what counts!

All the tomatoes, jalapenos and peppers we picked while out in the garden today.  I get a big bag like this about once a week or so.  YUM!

The metal lunch boxes/pails I bought the kids while at Eckert's the other day.  Brianna picked them out. 

What a fun day!!  Arts and crafts are so much fun!!
