Tuesday 10/19/10 - Fieldtrip to Eckert's

Today, I took off work to go with Brianna and her Pre-K class to Eckert's to pick pumpkins.  This was the first time she was able to go!  Every other time her class has gone to pick apples or pumpkins, she's been sick.  I wanted to take Jacob too, but he was sick yesterday and needed to be fever free for atleast 24 hours before he could go.  I know he would've really enjoyed it.  Oh well, maybe next time!  I must share something that Brianna told me right before she was getting on the bus.

Me:  Brianna, would you like me to ride the school bus with you on your fieldtrip?  Or should I drive my car behind the school bus and follow you there?

Brianna:  Mommy, it is NOT cool to ride on the bus with your mom!

Me:  (As I picked up the broken pieces of my heart off the ground) Okay, I'll follow the school bus to Eckert's.

And to think this girl is ONLY 4!!  She's 4 going on 14!!

Waiting for our whole group to join us to go pick pumpkins!

Each parent who went had their child and a buddy. Our buddy today was Tori.

I had to take a picture of these prices.  YIKES!  $26 for a large bag of apples??

Tori & Brianna riding on the wagon to be taken out to the pumpkin patch.

Lookin' for the PERFECT pumpkin...

STILL looking...

They finally found their perfect pumpkin they were looking for!

Getting ready to head back up to the top of the hill to hitch a ride back for lunch!

This was a HUGE patch of pumpkins!  No wonder they had such a difficult time making their choice!

Here comes our ride!

Brianna wanted to sit with her friends, NOT her mom.

Brianna at Eckert's!

She was playing on one of the HUGE wooden jungle gyms there.  She was telling me to look at how high she was!
