Saturday 11/13/10 - It's Party Time!!

Today, of all days, was extremely busy!  We had so many things to do.  One of the things was a birthday party for Brianna's "bestest friend ever"  (Her words not mine), Natalie.  She was invited last year too and had a blast.  When I told Brianna she may not be able to go because there were so many things to do, she started to cry.  I was going to drop Brianna off so I could get to other things, but Jack insisted that I go with her.  He didn't feel comfortable with Brianna going by herself.  So I had to cancel all my other plans to go with her to her party.  It was a good time and the kids had fun!  I had to take Jacob this year so it was his first time bowling.

I told Brianna I wanted to take her and Jacob's picture, since this was his first time bowling.  He wouldn't look, so she decided to "help" by MAKING him look!

The three girls at the birthday party.  L to R:  Emily, Natalie (the birthday girl) & Brianna.

Natalie bowling.  Since Natalie's dad is stationed at Scott Airforce Base, we were able to bowl at the bowling alley on base.

Brianna bowling

Jacob bowling for the first time.  He didn't understand that he wasn't supposed to run after the ball after he threw it down the lane.  :)

Brianna & Natalie cheering Jacob on as he bowled.  He only bowled twice.  The second time, he ran after the ball down the lane and slipped and fell.  I tried to catch him and so did Natalie's Aunt Rosa.  Both of us missed.  Jacob fell backwards and hit his head on the lane.  He screamed bloody murder and wanted no part of bowling after that.  He decided to take a nap while I was holding him so that pretty much put a damper on my picture taking.  Don't worry, he is just fine.  :)

Emily getting help from her Aunt Cheryl to bowl.  She got a little wild with the bowling ball!  She THREW it and it ended up in the lane next to ours.  Good thing there wasn't anyone bowling there!

Brianna really enjoyed bowling!  Can't you tell by the look on her face?

Natalie's birthday cake!  She turned 5 on 11/11/10.  Brianna keeps telling me she can't wait to be 5!  Most of her friends are already 5. She's one of the youngest ones out of her friends.

The birthday girl blowing out her candles.

Natalie opening up Brianna's gift!

A UNICORN PILLOW PET!!  I had a very difficult time getting Brianna to understand that this was for her friend, not for her.  She wants one of these so bad!  I told her she had to ask Santa Claus to bring her one.  Brianna was very gracious and gave her precious pillow pet to her best friend.  :)  Natalie loved her gift!  Her mom told me she's been begging for one of these for the longest time.  It must be all the rage for kids their age!
