Monday 5/16/11 - Pre-K Graduation 2011

This evening, Brianna graduated from Pre-K.  I was so happy for her, but sad all at the same time.  I'm glad she's growing up into her own little person, but also sad because she's not a baby anymore.  Jack asked me if I was gonna cry when I saw her walking down the isle with her cap & gown on.  I told him, "Of course I am!"  Brianna asked me why I was going to cry.  I told her because sometimes when a mommy is so proud of her daughter, it makes tears come out of her eyes!   It blows my mind at how far she's come and all the things she's learned in the 2 years she's been in Preschool.  Her teachers are totally amazing with those kids! 



This was Brianna's teacher, Ms. Becky, giving her opening speach.  Sorry about some of the pictures being so dark.  My camera wouldn't cooperate.  It was too dark.  No matter what Jack or I tried to do, we couldn't get it adjusted just right.

Ms. Becky handing Brianna her diploma!  (I couldn't control it any longer.  At this point, tears were rolling down my face because I was so proud of my little girl!  I'm happy to say I wasn't the only one who was crying.  Jack, Meemaw and Grandpa Parker had moist eyes too :D )

After the ceremony, the class stood aside along a wall so pictures could be taken by the parents and other guests.  Look at my sweet girl!  Isn't she pretty?!

This was about the best picture I could get of Brianna's graduating class.  It's hard for 4-5year olds to stand still for a long time! 

Isn't she sweet?!  I'm REALLY gonna bawl when she's graduating from High School!  I'm getting all misty eyed just looking at these pictures again!  (sniff sniff).  You'll have to excuse me while I go get a kleenex to wipe my eyes...

Brianna won the Commander of Counting award!  Ms Becky told me that Brianna is the best counter in her class!  She can count well over 100!!  Her teacher was very surprised and said most kids her age can't count that high. I told her Brianna and I practice counting all the time.  I told her how I taught her how to count that high.  It's just like counting to 10, but you add another number.  Brianna caught on really quick!  I'm so proud at how smart my girl is!!

Our next stop will be KINDERGARTEN!  Can't wait to see what adventures we will have next school year!
