A few weeks ago, I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday? I didn't know if she wanted to have a party to celebrate her special day with her friends, so I left it all up to her. I asked her if she wanted to party at Chuck E. Cheese's this year? She told me she thought that was boring. Mind you, this is coming from a VERY sophisticated 5 year old...lol. She said she wanted to do something different and have her party at Build A Bear. We didn't want her party to get too out of control so I told her she was only allowed to have no more than 6 friends join in our fun filled day. Very eagerly, she rattled off the friends she wanted to attend. I made up the invitations and had her take them to school for her teacher to hand out to her little friends. I can't say I wasn't relieved that she didn't want her party to be at the park this year. That was VERY chaotic for Jack and I last year! We made most of the food (with the exception of her cake and a few other things a few others were so kind to bring) and had to lug it all up to the park, along with the decorations and other supplies. That was a lot of packing and unpacking! We were pooped after that escapade! I thought Build A Bear sounded like a lot of fun for the kids so I presented it to Jack to see what he thought. He agreed very easily that it sounded like a great idea! The best part was we didn't have to make any of the food & there was little clean up!! That's a win win for the parents! I took tons of pictures of the kids' exciting, fun filled day. I won't label all of them just to save time. You'll get the idea of what's going on...
Our party leader's name was Mica. She was explaining the rules to our party group.
She was telling the kids there was no running allowed in the store. If they wanted to get from one area to another, they had to either march like soldiers, hop like bunnies or slowly walk and stay together.
Along this wall were all the animals they had to choose from.
This is the bear Jacob chose.
This was the one Brianna chose. She likes a lot of color!!
Getting ready to march like soldiers to the next area.
Mica was explaining how the kids were going to stuff their new furry friends!
Brianna got to go first because she was the birthday girl!
Emily, Natalie & Jacob were playing a game to see who got to go next.
This is what Brianna's bear "Rainbow" looked like after she was stuffed.
Jacob got to get his friend stuffed next. Mica would hold the bear up to the machine with the stuffing in it while the kids stepped on the pedal that made the machine work. Brianna & Jacob were scared at first because it made a loud noise!

A few of Brianna's friends were a little late coming to the party. They had another gathering to attend before ours. This is Brianna's friend Isabel Rehg.
This is Isabel's little sister, Raina. She's Jacob's age.
Mica was telling the kids they were going to give their animals a "bath" next.
The group giving their furry friends a "bath".
Basically what a "bath" was, was a table that looked like a bathtub that the kids sat their animals on to brush them. They did that to get the fuzz and lint off of them. There was no water involved.
Raina, Brianna & Emily with their animals all "clean"!
Jacob giving his bear a bath. He couldn't figure out why the water wouldn't come out! He did a great job at cleaning his bear!
Next, Mica helped the kids pick out outfits to dress their friends up in! They had a super time picking out fancy clothes for them!
Trying to dress their new friends was a little challenging for some of the younger kids.
Jacob with his new friend! He picked out camouflaged shorts with a Lightning McQueen shirt for his bear! We were really surprised he didn't pick out the camouflaged bear to stuff. Jacob is REALLY into camouflage!
Brianna with her bear all dressed up!
All the girls with their friends all dressed up! From L to R: Brianna, Isabel, Natalie & Emily
After they had their friends dressed and named, they got to march through the store yelling, "LOOK AT OUR BEARS!! LOOK AT OUR BEARS!!"
They all had a blast marching and yelling...lol.

Brianna got another bear that her friends signed to take home with her! That's something she can keep forever to remember her special day!
Brianna ready to take her new friends home!
Jacob ready to take his new friend home too!
The last thing was everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Brianna! She was so embarrassed, but I think secretly she loved it!
I had to post this picture to show Brianna's "sassy" side! I think she picks this up from her best friend, Natalie! :D
After Build A Bear, we went to the food court to have a snack and open presents. Brianna said she wanted a BIG cookie instead of a cake this year. I picked one up at Walmart for under $8 bucks! It was YUMMY!!
The kids getting ready to sing "Happy Birthday" to Brianna so she could blow out her candle!
All the kids enjoyed their cookie and juice boxes
This little boy enjoyed his cookie so much he ate TWO pieces!! He LOVES his sweets!
These are some of her presents that she got for her birthday... Barbie Dolls from Isabel & Raina.
A magic writer from Natalie
Princess Walkie talkie wands from Natalie
An Ariel shirt from Natalie
She got a Hello Kitty Marshmallow sucker & a Build A Bear gift card from Emily. She also got a Walmart giftcard from Sophia too!
At the mall, there was a merry go round the kids could ride on!!
Jack rode with Jacob
We met up with Brianna's friend, Emily, so they could ride on a few rides together.
There also was a train there that the kids could ride on. All three had a fun time!
The front of the train!
On our way out, the kids found more rides to ride on. Jacob wanted to "drive" this car. Isn't he cute?!
He's starting to smile so good for me when he looks at the camera!
Brianna wanted to ride a game that was like riding on a roller coaster.
The bears the kids made today at Build A Bear today!
Brianna wanted to get her picture taken with both of them. Jacob was done with pictures today! He wouldn't cooperate for me.
As you can see, we had a busy, but fun filled day! The kids had a blast plus they got to bring home a new furry friend!
