Anyway, I'll stop babbling and start talking about our mini bathroom remodeling project! I went to a few yard sales a few days ago looking for baby girl clothes. You see, last year I sold most of my baby girl clothes because I was trying to downsize. I had no clue I wasn't finished with my childbearing years...lol. So, unfortunately, I had to go looking for more. I can start getting rid of my baby boy clothes though! I see me having a yard sale in my very near future!! Fortunately for me, I didn't get rid of any of the BIG stuff. You know, a pack in play, swing, high chair, bouncy seat, etc. Yay for me! I was also on the look out for clothes for Brianna mostly, but found a few things for Jacob too. I usually have REALLY good luck shopping at yard sales. I know the areas of town to go to to find nice clothes (most of them with the tags still on) and name brands that I normally wouldn't be able to afford. I found TONS of clothes for Brianna and a few for Jacob. He doesn't really need many because believe it or not, he has more clothes than his sister does! He went with me for a few of them and found some neat trucks and other toys to play with. While I was at one sale, I found a bathroom set with everything included for only $10!! It was still in the original packaging and had NEVER been used!! Trust me, buying a bathroom set was the furthest thing from my mind, but when I saw it, I thought of Brianna immediately! I just had to get it to decorate her and Jacob's bathroom! Only one problem...I had only $8 left. I told the lady selling it, I didn't have enough to buy it. She asked me how much I had. When I told her, she said, "SOLD!! I want it GONE. I'll take $8 for it cause I'm tired of lugging it around trying to get rid of it." Holy smokes! I bought a COMPLETE bathroom set for only EIGHT DOLLARS?!?! Now THAT'S crazy! Who could pass that up?? The only thing I had to buy were towels to match!! WOO HOO!! I took pictures of what our bathroom looks like after its transformation. It's a tad on the bright side, but both kids LOVE it! Jack mentioned something about having to wearing sunglasses while being in there, but oh well!
I had help from this little lady! She was soooo excited to change up her bathroom!! She said she needed a hat and "work boots" to do the job...lol. Funny how BOTH the hat AND rain boots are her BROTHERS!
I know it's bright, but it's rather cheery, I think. Brianna helped pick out the color of towels for our new bathroom. I wanted pink, but she insisted on orange. As you can see, she won. Surprisingly, orange doesn't look half bad in there!
My favorite thing is the toilet seat cover. It looks like one HUGE flower! Only problem is, when the lid is lifted up, the petals get folded backwards. This drives Jacob crazy, as he's always trying to fix them!
So, what do ya think of our little transformation? For only $8 bucks, who can complain?!?!
