The kids have been pestering me to paint for several weeks. We DID have paint, BUT Jacob STILL can't grasp the concept that his paint brush is SUPPOSED to be rinsed in between dipping them into different colors...lol. He ruined the last set of paints we had so I had to pitch them. All the colors were this grayish, greenish, redish color. That's awesome if you want everything in your picture to be the same color. NOT if you want to paint your Princess in your picture with red hair...lol. Today, while at Wally World, I found some water colors that weren't too expensive so I bought them for the kids. They were thrilled to death!! When we got home from the store, that was the first thing they wanted to do...PAINT!!! Someone gave Brianna a HUGE coloring book for her birthday one year. I thought it would have great pictures that were big enough for the kids to paint their masterpieces! Here is what the final out come looks like...
This is kinda what our last paint ended up looking like and why I had to throw it out! He must like this color...lol. Brianna was criticising her brother for not staying in the lines and for not making his picture "pretty". I told her that wasn't nice to make fun of his artwork. I explained to her that she didn't always stay in the lines and painted just like this when she was her brother's age. I told her she only started to color in the lines since she's been going to Pre-School. I told her that her brother's picture WAS pretty. He was so proud of it! :)
I think this picture Brianna painted is very impressive! She does such a fabulous job! Maybe she'll be a famous artist one day and support her dad and I! Wishful thinking, I'm sure, but you never know! ;)
