7/10/11 - Sheets for a New Bed!

For the past three weeks or so, Jack and I have slowly been trying to move both kiddos into Brianna's room so the baby could have her own room.  We moved Jacob's race car toddler bed & chest of drawers into her room.  We have to get into the habit of saying "THEIR ROOM" now.  We're trying to get them to say "OUR ROOM".  I also cleaned out her closet so he could have some clothes in there as well.  I didn't feel comfortable giving our newest addition Jacob's old crib.  He had jumped in it so much, Jack wasn't able to tighten the screws & bolts anymore on it.  It was REALLY wobbly.  So, I convinced Brianna to give up her beloved bed so we could convert it back into a crib for her new baby sister.  She wasn't thrilled at first, but when I told her she could have my day bed, that I used to sleep in when I lived at home, she seemed a little intrigued.  I told her that a day bed is kinda like a big toddler bed, but for "big" people.  I told her since she's 5 years old now, that makes her a big girl.   She seemed okay with that explanation and willing to give it a try.  Needless to say, when Jack brought it up from the basement & we cleaned it up, she was THRILLED!!  She couldn't wait to sleep on it!!  So, since the day bed has a twin sized mattress on it, I need twin sized sheets to go on it.  Grandma Parker let us borrow some of hers until we could take Brianna shopping to pick out some that she liked.   We went to the store yesterday and these were the ones she chose...

Is it any surprise she picked ones with the Princesses on them?  The only thing that would make them more perfect is if Ariel were on them!  This is her pillow case.  Isn't it pretty?

These are her sheets...
Jack was nice and changed her sheets for me so I didn't have to.  If you've never changed sheets on a day bed before, well let me tell you, it's a booger to do it.  Especially when you have a basketball sized bump in the front!  I put the sheets on her bed that Grandma Parker let us borrow friday evening so she'd have sheets to sleep on.

Jack had to remove all of her stuffed animals and other trinkets off her bed to make it.  This is all of what she sleeps with!  This is before she "reassembled" all of her stuff back the way she had it before.  Every item she sleeps with HAS to be in it's own place.  Believe it or not, she can tell when something's missing!  She even stashes things under her pillow too.  Don't ask me how she can sleep like that.  I've tried to get her to take some of it off, but she says she can't sleep without all of it.

This is her new back pack we bought her for when she starts kindergarten in August.  She picked it out herself.  She LOVES Hello Kitty!  I guess it's making a come back because there are a lot of little girls with Hello Kitty things.  I thought it was actually a really cute back pack!
