Tuesday 8/16/11 - What an eventful day!

There was so much that went on today, it was like a world wind.  That's an understatement!  I'm thankful that Jack took off this week from work with all that went on.  Otherwise, I'm not quite sure how it all would've gotten done with me being in the hospital.   Where should I start?  Okay, I'll start at the beginning...

Not everything today started out bad.  The nursery put a pretty bow in Kyndall's hair and wheeled her down to my room this a.m.  Isn't she pretty?!   Brianna had one put in her hair too when she was little, only her's was pink.  Jack hates these bows.  Why?  Don't ask me.  I think it looks adorable!   I'm probably partial, but I can't get over what a pretty baby Kyndall is!   On the Discovery Channel once, I saw a program that said Mother Nature makes animal's young appear cute to their parents so they don't eat them.  Not sure that's the case here, but it just reminded me of that...lol.  Trust me, I have no interest what so ever in eating any of my young!  Haha!

Brianna & Jacob came back over to see their baby sister & me again.  Since I'm able to get up out of bed, I had Brianna sit up in my hospital bed & propped up her arm so she could hold her baby sister.  This way, if by chance she happened to drop her, Kyndall wouldn't have far to fall.  Plus she'd have a softer landing!

Brianna is such a proud big sister!

My BFF, Deanna, stopped by to visit and meet Kyndall.  She brought her some really great things!  Some cute onesies!

Deanna, I am so thankful you gave Kyndall these washcloths!  We use them for burp rags too.  I couldn't find many of the ones I used for B & J.  I maybe sold them in my yardsale last year?  Thank you so much!

This dress is about the most adorable thing, besides Kyndall, that I've ever seen!  Brianna and I both wished this came in a bigger size cause we wanted to wear it!  Thank you Dee for all the great gifts!  You're so sweet for thinking of us!

Flowers that were sent to me while in the hospital, from Gary Olsen (the president of the hospital).

Last night, while at G'ma & G'pa Parker's house, Jacob rolled off the furniture and hurt his foot.  Jack brought him here to the hospital to have a x-ray taken of his foot just as a precaution.  Jacob got to take a ride in a wheel chair.  He thought that was soooo cool!

This little lady made herself right at home in my bed!  She was surfing the T.V. to find something she wanted to watch.  She said the channels I had in the hospital weren't very good because there weren't any cartoons on any of them.  :D

Daddy with all 3 of his kiddos!  Everyone is looking pretty much in the right direction!   When I asked Jack if he thought he'd ever have 3 kids, he responded, "NO".  He said he was glad he had them and wouldn't trade any of them for anything.  Well, most days anyway...lol.

Well, here's where the day kinda turned sour.  Unfortunately Jacob's x-ray showed he had a hairline fracture of his 1st metatarsal (top of his foot).  Jack had to take him to a pediatric orthopedic doctor for treatment.  Due to Jacob being a very active little boy, the doctor felt that it would be best to put him in a walking cast to be sure that his foot healed properly.  I reminded Jack to make sure they made his cast "water proof".  The cast has to stay on for THREE WEEKS.  I keep reminding myself that this COULD be worse.  I've learned to NEVER, EVER ask, "What next?"  Sure enough as I do, something comes along much worse than before.   The doctor even gave him a sucker for being such a great sport!  Jacob even brought Brianna one too!  Isn't he sweet?

Can you believe this?  One day, I hope I'll be able to look back on this little incident and laugh.  So far, that day hasn't come.  I haven't started laughing yet...
