I must admit, this time around, I've done things much different that I did with the other two kiddos. I'm not quite sure why? Maybe it's due to my lack of sleep or me getting older, who knows? All I know is that I've started some bad habits and I need to stop them NOW before they become permanent. We're trying like the dickens to get Kyndall to sleep in her OWN bed. At first, I slept with her out in the recliner due to her horrible reflux. She HATED (that's an understatement) to lay down on her back...PERIOD. I would sit up mostly in the recliner (sometimes in bed) so she could sleep. I was desperate, people. I was getting roughly 3 hours of sleep a night. I was tired, pooped out, exhausted. It was horrible. So, due to this I resorted to sleeping WITH my baby in the same bed. Something that I had sworn in the past I would NEVER, EVER, EVER do...NEVER. Well, all I can say is, never say never! :D I've been trying to get her to sleep in her own bed for the past week now. She's been doing better. I lowered her mattress (I had it raised due to her reflux), have a night light, soft music & a heater/fan going at all times in her room (when she's asleep). Brianna & Jacob both sleep with music, a fan & a night light in their room every night. It works for them so I thought it may work for Kyndall. It's working somewhat. All I can say is, it's a work in progress. I hope she'll start sleeping in her own bed because I have to go back to work VERY soon! YIKES!! What on earth have I done?!
Now before any of you get your panties in a wad, of course I don't lay her on her tummy to sleep. I put her on her back. I laid her like this in her bed so I could go to the bathroom & to keep her away from Jacob. He's been known to bounce her in her bouncy seat harder than he should. I have to keep her safe. When I came back to get her, this is what I saw. I thought she looked cute (sorta like a little jail bird) and had to get a picture!
This is how she lays down...on her back! Thanks to the liquid Zantac, that is!
