Thursday 10/20/11 - Tomato pickin'

Tomorrow, the weather calls for frost so I thought I needed to get my booty out in the garden to pick any tomatoes that were left, regardless if they were red or green.   I recruited Jacob to help me out.  He did a great job!  He picked just as many tomatoes & peppers as I did!  How he carried his bag, is beyond me.  He was a great helper!  He had fun too!

This little lady was less than thrilled about wearing this hat.  She was NOT having ANY of it.  This is what she did the WHOLE time she was in the stroller.  It was really windy & I wanted to keep her head & ears warm. Soooo, I had to try to hold her while picking tomatoes AND peppers to keep her quiet.  Talk about a challenge!   In case you were wondering what an UNHAPPY baby looks like, look no further!  :D

These were all the tomatoes & peppers Jacob & I picked.  He had the green bag, I had the blue one.  Yes, he picked ALL of these all by himself!  He was a busy little beaver!

Due to time restrictions, we weren't able to get all of the tomatoes in the garden picked.  We got a good majority of them though.  This will be enough!  I have no idea what on earth to do with all of them.  I may give them away.  I just hate to see them go to waste!  Once the frost hits, they'll be ruined.  In my opinion, fresh garden tomatoes are absolutely THE BEST!  YUMMY!  Jacob has already told me he can't wait to eat them!  :)
