Saturday 4/2/11 - Weekends are fun!

I forgot to mention that yesterday, the kids wanted to play with play-doh.  After we ate dinner, I let Brianna get out all the play-doh and accessories to play with.  The kids had a blast creating fun things!  It's interesting and entertaining at the same time to see how their little minds work!

Brianna was showing her little brother how to "make spaghetti".  She'd tell him, "Jacob, you have to put your play-doh in here like this."

"Then you squeeze REAL hard.  Your spaghetti will come out, but DON'T EAT IT.  It's just for pretend." Lol.  I was going to tell him this same thing, but she beat me to it.  I think she knows her brother as well as I do!  Knowing Jacob, he'd have to taste it to see if it was "real".

Jacob had to try it out.  He's trying to figure out how to get the "spaghetti making contraption" to work.

He was asking me if this looked like enough play-doh to make his spaghetti.  I told him that amount was fine.

He had trouble at first because you have to squeeze REALLY hard to get the play-doh to come out. Then he decided to grunt and stick out his tongue.  That seemed to help him!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of him in DEEP concentration.  When I would come at him with my camera, he would quickly put his tongue back in his mouth!  I'm happy to report, he didn't even try to taste his spaghetti!  Phew!

Brianna is using the play-doh scissors to cut hers up.

Soon after, Jacob got bored and decided to play with his cars.  He's really into lining them up.  He came to show me what he did.  This line of cars stretched halfway across the family room!  I asked him what they were in line waiting for?  His response?  "I don't know?"  He looked at me like, "They're supposed to be waiting for something?"

The creator of the line of cars.  He was so proud of himself, he wanted me to take his picture!  Now there's a FIRST!  He usually RUNS when he sees me with the camera.  Maybe that's just when I catch him doing something I can blackmail him with!  :D
