Sunday 6/19/11 - Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all you Father's out there!  Hope today is extra special for you.  I forgot to take pictures of the kids giving Jack their presents for him.  He was so surprised about the coffee mugs, I thought he was going to cry!  I told him it was all Brianna's idea to do this for him.  All I did was pay for it.  :)  He said he was afraid to use them because he didn't want the paint to come off.  I told him we had more paint so we could always repaint a new picture on them!  They also gave him homemade cards and extra hugs and kisses!  He didn't know what to say!   Later on, we made S'mores!  Believe it or not, I've NEVER eaten one.  Seriously, I haven't.  I'm not a fan of graham crackers, but I thought I would try one.  I made everyone their own.  Jack said he wasn't going to make a campfire in the backyard just so I could make them so I did it in the microwave. 


Here were the items  I used:  GIANT marshmallows, Graham Crackers & Hershey's Milk Chocolate.  I have NEVER in my entire life seen marshmallows this big...EVER.  They were HUGE!!

I put them together like this...

Then popped them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds

The Marshmallows got HUGE!!  The chocolate was an ewey gooey mess!

This little lady LOVED them!!  She gobbled it right up!

Suprisingly, my little sweet eater wasn't thrilled with it.  I don't think he liked the Marshmallows being so gooey.  He barely touched it and made such a face.  I was totally shocked!

I took a picture of Jack eating his, but he made me promise I wouldn't post his picture on here.  So, sorry folks there's no picture of the special guy eating his special snack.  Whatever you do today, I hope it was special!  Any day is always special when you get to spend it with your favorite people!  I think Jack had a great Father's Day!
