When we walked past these in the store, I picked up this box and showed Jack. He thought it was a great idea and may encourage Jacob. I showed Jacob and asked if he wanted some McQueen pull ups. Without hesitation, he said, "YES!" and put them in the cart. Enough said! We may be onto something here! (Fingers are crossed).
They even came with a potty training CD and this cool watch! The watch will tell the time and can also be set to "remind" the child it's time to use the potty. You can set it in 15 minute increments (15, 30, 45, 60, 75, etc). It seems that anything less than 45 minutes for him (at the moment) it not enough. Anything more than that is too long. He LOVES this watch! When it's time, it lights up and plays a little tune. He thinks this is so neat! You should see his little eyes light up and how big his smile is when he hears it!
Brianna wanted me to open up the box to see what the pull ups looked like. When I opened them up, this is what we saw. I don't know about you, but these look like Toy Story, NOT CARS pull ups. We were all disappointed! I can't believe this company who makes these could make such a HUGE error. I was tempted to call them to complain about false advertisement!
Jacob has been bugging us (an understatement) for this car for over a month. When you push the orange button on top, it says, "Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!" and another saying. Plus the hood opens up and shines a light. We told him we would get this for him IF he would go potty on the toilet and NOT in his pants. If he did go in his pants, the car would get taken away. He's had it taken away a few times, but over all he's been doing better with potty training. Grandma Parker gave us money to buy it for him for his birthday next month. We were afraid if we didn't get it now, they wouldn't have it by then. We'd be in BIG trouble with Jacob then...lol.
He also had to get his McQueen slippers out of the closet too to go with his toy! This kid is a McQueen junkie!
Our fingers & toes are crossed in hopes that this all works. Maybe he'll be mostly potty trained by the time baby sister arrives. We can only hope. He's doing better than he was and is managing to stay dry for a majority of the day. That's a plus!
